#CFF2022 Artists' Spotlight: Bexar
Warner Music Nashville’s rising country band BEXAR (pronounced ‘bear’), comprised of Chris Ryan (lead vocals/guitar) and Logan Turner (vocals/banjo/guitar), is forging country tradition into something stronger, sharper and more refined with their major label debut EP Pronounced BEAR, available everywhere now. Produced by award-winning producers Ross Copperman and Luke Laird, the six-track EP showcases BEXAR’s fresh and expressive sound, with all tracks co-written by at least one band member. The EP is already receiving stellar reviews from Billboard, Rolling Stone and more, with MusicRow proclaiming “…put this on your playlist at once.” With a combination of Kentucky bluegrass and Texas country, the band draws inspiration from groups such as Mumford & Sons, The Avett Brothers and Avicii and reintroduces country to the pop potential of wooden instruments and organic soul. BEXAR gets its name from Bexar County, TX, where Ryan spent much of his childhood. Since their 2018 self-released EP, the band has accumulated over 40 million streams to date, has been named to MusicRow’s Next Big Thing Class of 2022, Sounds Like Nashville’s 2021 Artists To Watch list and have started their own podcast, The BEXAR Den. American Songwriter’s The Zak Kuhn Show summarized the BEXAR brand well by stating, “these guys are going to make you wish you were in a band.”
We are so excited to welcome Bexar on the Nashville Next Stage this summer at CFF2022. Connect with us @countryfanfest on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Be a fan on Facebook!
